An MPA (marine protected area) is a part of the ocean that is legally protected and managed to achieve the long-term conservation of nature. Navita, which is Latin for “mariner”, partnered with the Eastern Nova Scotia Marine Stewardship Society and Louisbourg Seafoods Limited to develop an underwater exploration prototype based on underwater data and film footage collected from the St. Anns Bank MPA.
